The plots on these remaining allotments are 100% let, with a waiting list and suppressed demand.

In 1998 the plot-holders on the land which is now the subject of this planning application were told to vacate thier plots.
Note the areas of brambles which are not marked out as allotment plots. The old piggeries (demolished in 1999 at the request of Reading Council) can be seen in the NE corner. Since 1997 many of the buildings on the land rented by non-conforming users have grown in size.
